Gateway to Celestial Realms
“Gateway to Celestial Realms” reinterprets the architectural language of traditional Thai houses through a layered structure that reflects the idea of hierarchy, spatial transition, and the elevation of the human spirit.
Its three-tiered form recalls the rising gables of Thai architecture, symbolizing a gradual passage — from the outer world to the inner sanctuary, from movement to stillness, and from the tangible to the emotional.
Although constructed from steel and steel plates — materials associated with strength and permanence — the use of weaving and forging techniques softens the structure. The lines become light, open, and rhythmically fluid, creating a sense of movement within solidity.
Lanterns placed above the structure introduce a gentle glow that softens the form and adds warmth, evoking the feeling of a guiding light.
More than a physical structure, the piece serves as a symbolic threshold — a moment of transition that invites visitors to step into a space where art, cuisine, and atmosphere exist in harmony.
At Kinnaree, this gateway is not merely an entrance, but the beginning of an experience.
